TRAK Microwave began in 1960, when Jim McCullouch arrived to Tampa from TRAK Electronics in Wilton Connecticut to start a division office in Florida. He brought with him an engineer, a manufacturing administrator and started developing triode tube oscillators in an old factory on Coolidge Avenue in Drew Park.
